Regel Yesharah by Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech of Dinov – Lemberg, 1858. First Edition. * Kabbalistic fundamentals and introductions, arranged alphabetically, compiled by Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Shapira, Av Beis Din of Dinov, author of Bnei Yissaschar. In this holy sefer, the Bnei Yissaschar compiled “all the foundations and introductions in Kabbalah, mussar and Chassidus, upon which he built his many drashos scattered throughout his holy sefarim, especially in the holy sefarim Bnei Yissaschar, Igra D’Kallah, and Igra D’Parka, into one place… arranging them systematically in alphabetical order and explaining their concepts briefly…” (from the introduction of Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Panet, Av Beis Din of Bnei Shlishim-Kassan, to Regel Yesharah). Only through this holy sefer is it possible to grasp the depth of the Bnei Yissaschar’s intent in his other sefarim. From the wording of the title page: “Also included are many gilgulim… and through these introductions the reader will find all that he seeks in the sefarim of Kabbalah.” The author writes in his introduction to the additions of Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Shapira to Sur Me’ra Va’aseh Tov: “From my earliest years of understanding, I was drawn with deep longing to this wisdom… Yet my involvement was always intermittent, with periods of intense engagement followed by withdrawal” and he relates what he received from his teacher, “the master of the Zohar, ” Rabbi Tzvi Hersch of Ziditchov. The sefer is filled with numerous gematrios, described by Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech in the additions of מהרצ” א, אות ק” ז, as “a great cornerstone of Torah.” Rabbi Tzvi Hersch of Ziditchov of Dinov, author of Bnei Yissaschar (1783–1841) , was one of the great Rebbes and progenitors of Chassidus. He was known for his remarkable genius and fluency in all realms of Torah and was a prolific writer whose sefarim serve as cornerstones of the Chassidic library. Lemberg, 1858. First edition.
