Segulah for Parnassah: Chok L’Yisrael, 5 Volumes Shapira Press. Zhitomir, 1865. * Sefer Chok L’Yisrael containing an order for daily study, comprising selected passages from both the Written Torah and the Oral Torah, arranged according to the weekly Torah portions. The work is based on the writings of Rabbi Chaim Vital, according to the teachings he received from his teacher, the Arizal, and includes additional compilations by the Chida. For generations, chassidim would study Chok L’Yisrael every single day without fail. It is widely accepted that the study of Chok L’Yisrael is a segulah for livelihood. This is alluded to in the Gemara (Beitzah 16a): “Chok is an expression of sustenance, ” as cited in the name of the Rav of Shinova. A set of five volumes. Each volume contains two title pages, except for Sefer Devarim, whose first title page is lacking. A total of nine title pages are present. The first title page of each volume was printed with the sefer’s title and place of printing in red ink. Printed by Rabbi Chanina Lipa and Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel Shapira, grandsons of the Rav of Slavita, Rabbi Moshe Shapira, son of Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz.   Details of the Volumes: Bereishis: 1865. 259 leaves.
