The Admor of Horonistipol, Rabbi Mordechai Dov Tevele, (1840-1903), son of the holy Rabbi Meshulam Zusya of Talmutsh, and the great chasid of the Divrei Chaim of Zans. Who testified that he was a Torah scholar of the highest order. Orphaned in his youth, he was reared in the home of his maternal grandfather, the Rebbe of Tshorkas, Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Tversky. In 1863, at the age of 23, he was appointed by his grandfather, who had moved to Tshorkas, as rebbe and rabbi of Horonistipol, and there began to gather a large following of Hasidim.
