Bidspirit auction | A pocket-sized calendar, Venice, 1638

A pocket-sized calendar, Venice, 1638 - a very rare item, not recorded in the Bibliography Project and not in the National Library. A portion of a printed sheet of a ten-year calendar in small format, 'Seder Chodshei Ha-Shana – for the Duration of Ten Years'. Venice, Giovanni Calepino print, 1638. Before us are four parts of a printed sheet that was cut wrongly in the middle, including a title page and a colophon page, and a total of 24 pages on both sides (the pages in the middle of the sheet were cut in the middle). In the pages that follow, we find tables for the years 1638-1643, and the continuation of the table is missing. Apparently, the calendar before us was appended to a prayer book that was then printed in Venice, and the colophon before us is in fact the end of this prayer book, before the calendar begins (in the colophon it is printed: ”With the help of God, whose hand is high, this prayer book is completed...”; also mentioned are the publisher Rabbi Israel Konin and the proofreader Rabbi Yaakov Sarval. Not recorded in the Bibliography Project and not listed in the National Library catalogue. Registered by Binyahu, Asufot, 13, Kalion Press, book 108 p. 210. לוח שנה, פורמט כיס – ונציה, שצ”ח - לוח נדיר ביותר, לא נרשם במפעל הביבליוגרפיה ואינו בספריה הלאומית חלקים מגיליון דפוס של לוח שנה לעשר שנים בפורמט קטן, 'סדר חדשי השנה – מסודרים בעד משך זמן עשרה שנים'. ונציה, דפוס ייואני קאליוני, שצ”ח [1638]. לפנינו ארבעה חלקים מתוך גיליון דפוס שנחתך שלא כשורה גם באמצעו, כולל עמוד שער ועמוד קולופון, וסך הכל 24 עמודים משני צדדיו (העמודים באמצע הגיליון נחתכו באמצעם). בדפים שלפנינו מופיעים לוחות לשנים שצ”ט-ת”ג, והמשך הלוח חסר. כפי הנראה, הלוח שלפנינו נספח לסידור תפילה שנדפס אז בוונציה, והקולופון שלפנינו הוא למעשה סופו של סידור זה, בטרם מתחיל הלוח (בקולופון נדפס: ”בעזרת האל שידו רמה, התפלה הזאת כלה נשלמה...”; כמו כן מוזכרים בו המו”ל רבי ישראל קוניאן והמגיה רבי יעקב סארוואל. לא נרשם במפעל הביבליוגרפיה ולא מופיע בקטלוג הספרייה הלאומית. נרשם על ידי בניהו, אסופות, יג, דפוסי קאליון, ספר שמונה ומאה, עמ' רי.
