The recommendation of the late Chief Rabbi of Israel, HaRav Yitzchak A. Herzog, for Levi Rachmani. An autobiographical letter by Rachmani. A. Letter to the generous lady Shoshana Persitz. Jerusalem, 1942. In this letter, Rachmani offers his candidacy for a certain position, and to that end he expands on himself and details his life story in the Diaspora (Romania, Berlin, etc.) and in the Land. The letter is typed and bears Rachmani's signature. On the margin of the page was written ”Enclosed is a letter of recommendation from the Chief Rabbi of Palestine, Dr. I. A. Herzog”. Good condition, with holes in the margins, no textual deficiency. B. A letter of recommendation by the late Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Isaac Herzog, for Dr. Levi Rahmani, ”who served me in the past as a private secretary. He is a very talented man... and an honest and very active man”. The letter is typed on official stationery of the Rabbi Herzog's office, and signed in full in his own handwriting. Very good condition, fold marks. המלצת הגרי”א הרצוג על לוי רחמני  / מכתב אוטוביוגרפי מאת רחמני א. מכתב אל הגברת הנדיבה שושנה פרסיץ. ירושלים, תש”ב [1942]. במכתב זה מציע רחמני את מועמדותו לתפקיד מסוים, ולשם כך מספר על עצמו בהרחבה ומפרט את קורות חייו בגולה (רומניה, ברלין וכו') ובארץ. המכתב כתוב במכונת כתיבה ונושא את חתימתו של רחמני. בשולי הדף נכתב ”לוטה מכתב המלצה מאת מע”כ הרב הראשי לא”י ד”ר י. א. הרצוג”. מצב טוב, חורים בשולי הדף, ללא חסרון טקסט. ב. מכתב המלצה של מרן הגרי”א הרצוג, הרב הראשי לארץ ישראל, על ד”ר לוי רחמני, ”ששימש לפנים אצלי בתור מזכיר פרטי. הוא איש מוכשר מאוד... ואיש ישר ופעיל מאוד”. המכתב כתוב במכונת כתיבה על נייר רשמי של משרד הרב הרצוג, וחתום בחתימתו המלאה בכתב ידו. מצב טוב מאוד, סימני קיפול.
