The Sefer Etz Yosef - Commentary on the Talmud by Rabbi Yosef of Darmstadt, in which he engages in talmudic discourse with the author of the Korban Netanel - first edition, Karlsruhe, 1763. A handsome cover, with scriptural verses in praise of Joseph, and a hint of the year of publication in a notarikon on the name of the author, 'Tov Eitz Yosef, Alavoh Lo Yavul'. At the end of the book are words of blessing from the author's father, and aphorisms in praise of 'Eitz Yosef'. At the head of the book are the approbations of the Geonim of Ashkenaz, including Rabbi Nathaniel Wil, author of the Sefer Korban Netanel. In this work the author took issue with his Rebbe the Korban Netanel in several places and on the last page apologized for printing his objections without first submitting them to him, whereupon he printed the Korban Netanel's response to his objections on page 7. ספר עץ יוסף - חידושים על הש”ס מאת רבי יוסף דארמשטאט, בהם משא ומתן עם בעל הקרבן נתנאל - מהדורה ראשונה, קארלסרוא, תקכ”ג | 1763 שער נאה, עם רישומי פסוקים במעלת יוסף, ורמיזת שנת הדפסת הספר בנוטריקון על שם המחבר 'טוב עץ יוסף עלהו לא יבול'. באחרית הספר נדפסו דברי ברכה מאת אבי המחבר, פתגמים במעלת 'עץ יוסף' בפתח הספר הסכמות גאוני אשכנז בהם רבי נתנאל וויל בעל מחבר ספר קרבן נתנאל. בספר זה השיג המחבר על רבו בעל הקרבן נתנאל בכמה מקומות ובדף האחרון התנצל על הדפסת ההשגות בלא לשטוח את השגותיו קודם לפניו, בשל כך הדפיס את מענה הקרבן נתנאל להשגותיו בדף ז.
