Rare letters from the Jewish People's Bank in Danzig - Danzig, 1933 - a claim against a debtor, detailing their dire straits following the rise of the Nazis to power. The Jewish Public Bank AG, Danzig, was a Jewish bank in the city of Danzig in Poland, and served as a bank from 1923 to 1939. The rise of the Nazis to power and the political upheavals made it difficult for the bank to operate, and it was forced to close in 1939.
