Jewish Colonial Trust, an early and rare marketing prospectus, sale of shares prior to the commencement of operations of the Zionist movement's banking institution - January, 1901 ”Jewish Colonial Trust” (The Jewish Colonial Trust / Jüdische Colonial-Bank), the financial institution established by Theodor (Binyamin Ze'ev) Herzl to fund the activities of the Zionist movement. Before us is a share marketing prospectus from the early stage before the bank reached the target minimum set in order to commence operations. According to the regulations established by Herzl, the bank could not begin practical operations (such as granting credit for settlement or acquiring concessions in the Land of Israel) until it reached a minimum fundraising threshold of £250,000 - The bank reached the capital target in 1902 and then actually began active banking operations.
