Discovery regarding the design of the JNF Herzl stamp! An especially rare promotional prospectus, JNF consultation with the public on the selection of stamps for issuance on the eve of the issuance of the second series of JNF stamps - Cologne, 1908 - work by Bezalel artists An especially rare promotional prospectus, JNF consultation with the general public prior to the issuance of new stamps. The prospectus provides extensive details on the design process of the stamps proposed for selection, including 4 stamps specially commissioned and designed by Bezalel artists in Jerusalem. Among the stamps is the familiar Herzl stamp, and according to the text, it was designed by Hans Dieters and not, as some have sought to attribute it, by Ephraim Moses Lilien! [who indeed took the photograph but did not design the stamp] An especially rare prospectus of early sketches for JNF stamps, including those that ultimately were not published. We have not found a bibliographic record for it. Good condition. Well-preserved תגלית על עיצוב בול הרצל של הקק”ל!  פרוספקט פרסומי נדיר במיוחד, התייעצות הקק”ל עם הציבור על בחירת הבולים להנפקה ערב הנפקת הסדרה השנייה של בולי קק”ל - קלן, 1908 - עבודה של אמני בצלאל  פרוספקט פרסומי נדיר במיוחד, התייעצות הקק”ל עם הציבור הרחב לפני הנפקת בולים חדשים. בפרוספקט פירוט נרחב על תהליך עיצוב הבולים המוצעים לבחירה, ביניהם 4 בולים שהוזמנו ועוצבו במיוחד על ידי אמני בצלאל בירושלים.  בין הבולים בול הרצל המוכר, ולפי הכתוב הוא עוצב בידי הנס דייטרס ולא כפי שיש שרצו לייחס אותו לאפרים משה ליליין! [שאכן צילם את התמונה אך לא עיצב את הבול] פרוספקט נדיר במיוחד של סקיצות מוקדמות לבולי הקק”ל בהם שלא הופיעו לבסוף, לא מצאנו רשומה ביבליוגרפית שלו.  מצב טוב. שמור.
