They cleaved to the love of the 'Daf Yomi' - Torah scholars, renowned merchants, teachers and department heads in municipal high schools, lawyers, accountants, and artisans united by a strong desire to uphold the covenant the Lord made with His people regarding the Oral Torah. Alei Chaldi [acronym for Chevrat Lomdei Daf Yomi] - a special booklet in honor of the completion of Seder Nashim in the Daf Yomi study, Brooklyn, Rosh Chodesh Iyar, 1942. A rare booklet published on the occasion of the celebration of the completion of Seder Nashim in the Daf Yomi study, by the Daf Yomi study group at the Young Israel synagogue in Boro Park, led by Rabbi Shmuel Kalman Mirsky. At the beginning of the book is a moving preface by Rabbi Shmuel Kalman Mirsky, in which he describes the background of the establishment of the Daf Yomi study group, founded on the eve of Shabbat Bereishit in the year 5700 [1939]: Rabbi Shmuel recounts that long beforehand he had the desire to establish a Daf Yomi study group, but suppressed the initiative, thinking that since people are occupied with their work, no one would want to come daily to study the Daf. However, in the summer before the war, Rabbi Shmuel traveled to Europe and saw how Jewish communities were being uprooted and the destruction beginning to strike European Jewry. Then, Rabbi Shmuel recounts, ”The realization grew within me that American Jewry can no longer suffice with merely providing financial and food assistance, as during the previous war, but rather must build within itself a dwelling place for the Divine Presence in the diaspora, and establish the dominion of the Book over life precisely during the days of the dominion of the sword in the world.” Rabbi Shmuel excitedly describes how ”a year passed, and throughout all the days, whether in the blazing summer days or the freezing winter days, whether in matters requiring logic or matters requiring exertion, the consistency did not wane. Dozens upon dozens of members, may they multiply, cleaved to the love of the 'Daf Yomi' and were diligent at the doors of the synagogue. Preserved leaves. נדבקו לאהבה את ה'דף היומי' - תלמידי חכמים, סוחרים אנשי שם, מורים וראשי מחלקות בבתי ספר גבוהים עירוניים, עורכי דין, רואי חשבון ובעלי אמניות מאוחדים ברצון חזק לעמוד בברית ה' אשר כרת עם עמו על התורה שבעל פה עלי חלד”י [ר”ת חבורת לומדי דף היומי] - חוברת מיוחדת לכבוד סיום סדר נשים בלימוד הדף היומיי, ברוקלין, ר”ח אייר, תש”ב | 1942  חוברת נדירה שהופיעה לרגל חגיגת סיום סדר נשים בלימוד הדף היומי, על ידי חבורת לומדי דף היומי בבית הכנסת ישראל הצעיר בבורו פארק, על ידי רבי שמואל קלמן מירסקי. בפתח הספר הקדמת מרגשת מאת רבי שמואל קלמן מירסקי, בה הוא מתאר את הרקע להקמת חבורת לומדי הדף היומי, אשר הוקמה בליל שבת בראשית בשנת ת”ש: רבי שמאול מספר על כך שזמן רב קודם היה בו הרצון להקים חבורה ללימוד דף היומי, אך כבש את היוזמה בליבו מאחר וחשב שכיוון שאנשים עסוקים במלאכתם לא יהיה מי שירצה לבוא מידי יום לבוא וללמוד את הדף. אך בקיץ שלפני המלחמה נסע רבי שמואל לאירופה, וראה איך שקהילות ישראל נכרתות ממקומן ואת הכרות המתחיל להכות בראש יהדות אירופה ואז מספר רבי שמואל 'גברה בי ההכרה שאין היהדות האמריקאית יכולה עוד להסתפק בסיוע של ממון ומזון בלבד, כבימי המלחמה שעברה, כי אם לבנות בתוכה מקום לשכינה בגולה, ולהשליט את הספר על החיים בעצם ימי שלטון הסייף בעולם' רבי שמואל מתאר בהתרגשות איך ”עברה שנה, ובמשך כל הימים בין בימי הקיץ הלוהטים ובין בימי החורף הקרים, בין בדברים שניתנו להגיון ובין בדברים שניתנו ליגיעה לא נחסר המזג. עשרות עשרות של חברים כן ירבו נדבקו לאהבה את ה'דף היומי' ושקדו על שערי בית הכנסת. תלמידי חכמים, סוחרים אנשי שם, מורים וראשי מחלקות בבתי ספר גבוהים עירוניים, עורכי דין, רואי חשבון ובעלי אמניות מאוחדים ברצון חזק לעמוד בברית ה' אשר כרת עם עמו על התורה שבעל פה”  בחוברת מכתבי ברכה באמת גאוני ארה”ב על מעלת לימוד הדף היומי,   ורשימה שמית של כל משתתפי השיעור.  29, 23 עמודים. מצב טוב. דפים שמורים.
