High Grade Model 1841 Naval Officer's Sword by Ames With Eagle Head Pommel - In exceptional condition with a fine gilded eagle head pommel, and marked on the blade US NAVY, retaining 95%+ of the silver plating on the blade. Marked NP AMES/CUTLER/SPRINGFIELD MASS, leather scabbard, high grade scabbard with applied, raised decoration. Circa 1847. The blade measuring 28.5 inches in length.
