The form is divided into three distinct functional and decorative sections: a wide, tapering wedge-shaped head with a slightly curved leading edge for pressing material; a central faceted section featuring a double-pyramid or diamond-shaped grip; and an octagonal faceted terminal end. Three thin, incised horizontal parallel lines are present on one of the top flat facets of the octagonal end. No manufacturer stamps or maker's marks are visible.
