Antique Cuban Advertising Folding Fan for M. Carranza Fan Store Havana - An antique folding hand fan produced as a promotional advertisement for the M. Carranza Fan Store and Curiosities, located at 119 Obispo Street in Havana, Cuba. The fan features a pleated paper leaf mounted on wooden sticks and guards. The obverse side is printed with a lithographed advertisement in black ink, including the business name, address, and a central sunburst emblem with the name M. Carranza. The reverse side depicts a multi-color lithographed scene of a Spanish bullfight, or Corrida de Toros, featuring vignettes of matadors and picadors in an arena. The upper edge of the paper leaf is finished with a gold gilded border. One of the wooden guard sticks is decorated with the word HABANA in silver-toned paint, flanked by stylized foliate motifs.
