Vintage S.W.C. Brand Lithographed Saffron Spice Tin by Sprague Warner and Company - A vintage rectangular lithographed spice tin for saffron, produced by Sprague, Warner and Company of Chicago, Illinois. The container features a bright yellow background decorated with orange and red stylized crocus floral motifs at the corners. The front panel displays the S.W.C. Brand name and the word Saffron in yellow block letters set within a red rectangular field. The bottom of the front panel identifies the packer as Sprague, Warner and Company of Chicago, Illinois. The reverse side features a complete recipe for Saffron Cake, including a list of ingredients such as flour, shortening, currants, and lemon peel, along with preparation instructions. A secondary circular logo depicting a cornucopia and the initials S.W. and Co. is visible on the side. The tin is topped with a removable metal lid.
