Lithographed Tin Cigar Box Boston Massachusetts - An antique lithographed tin cigar box produced for the J.A. brand by the manufacturer Alles and Fisher of Boston, Massachusetts. The rectangular tinplate container features a hinged lid and extensive advertising graphics across all visible sides. The decorative scheme consists of an orange-yellow field with cream-colored graphic panels and dark lettering. The central branding motif features two crossed cigars within a laurel wreath, flanked by the initials J and A. The lid and front panel identify the company location as Boston, Mass. The front panel contains a boxed regulatory statement noting the cigars were tax-paid for a retail price between eight and fifteen cents.
