The container features a hinged lid and is decorated in a seafoam green and gold color scheme. The primary display panels and lid show the brand name Gold Leaf with the designation CUT PLUG featured in a central shield-shaped cartouche. The base of the main panel is marked J. LEMESURIER and SONS, QUEBEC and includes the British Royal Coat of Arms featuring the lion and unicorn. The side panels contain a large yellow oval cartouche with an illustration of a tobacco leaf, inscribed MANUFACTURED FROM FINEST VIRGINIA TOBACCO.
