Vintage 1964 Octagon Process Inc. Military Aircraft Anti Fogging Compound Metal Container - This is a vintage US military-issue metal container manufactured by Octagon Process Inc. of Edgewater, New Jersey. The rectangular can features an olive drab painted finish with printed yellow text on the front and back panels. It was designed to contain anti fogging compound for use on transparent aircraft enclosures, such as cockpits and windows.The front panel includes the national stock number 6850-200-2397, the military specification MIL-A-21071 (AER) AM 1, and the manufacture date of April 1964 (MFD 4/64). The contract number DSA-6-5814 is also present. The reverse panel contains detailed directions for application on glass or plastic surfaces, including instructions for the use of a reversible spout and spraying aperture. A cautionary warning regarding heat and open flames is printed at the base of the back panel. The container is topped with a knurled metal screw cap.Volume: 1 Pint.
