Antique Three Kings Smoking Mixture Tobacco Tin, Wm. S. Kimball and Co. - This antique lithographed tobacco tin is for Three Kings Smoking Mixture, manufactured by Wm. S. Kimball and Co. of Rochester, New York. The tin identifies The American Tobacco Company as the successor, dating the piece to the late 19th or early 20th century. Constructed from tinplate, the square-format container features a friction-fit lid and an all-over intricate floral and leaf pattern in black against a yellow-gold background. The front panel contains a central black circular field with the brand name Three Kings in Gothic-style typeface above the words Smoking Mixture. A text block to the left of the circle reads Genuine Turkish Perique and Virginia and 17 First Prize Medals. The bottom of the front panel displays the manufacturer information: Wm. S.
