Vintage Star Automobile Grease Cap by Durant Motors - This vintage automotive grease cap is attributed to the Star brand of automobiles produced by Durant Motors in the United States between 1922 and 1928. The component is cast from a copper alloy, typically brass or bronze, and was designed to protect the wheel hub assembly. The cap features a cylindrical body with a hexagonal shoulder integrated into the top for wrench application. The flat top surface is decorated with a prominent, integral raised five-pointed star logo. No other manufacturer marks or alphanumeric characters are visible on the exterior.
