Vintage Whippet Automobile Hub Cap - A vintage cast metal threaded hub cap or grease cap for a Whippet automobile. This part was manufactured for the Whippet line of cars, which were produced by the Willys-Overland company of Toledo, Ohio, between 1926 and 1931. The cap is constructed in a hexagonal form to facilitate installation and removal with a wrench. The top face features the brand logo ”Whippet” embossed in a stylized serif script. The interior of the cap is hollow and contains internal threading for attachment to a wheel hub assembly.
