Antique Early 20th Century Automotive Cowl or Side Marker Light - This item is an antique automotive accessory light, specifically a cowl or side marker light, dating from the early 20th century, approximately 1910 to 1920. The light consists of a circular translucent milk glass lens secured within a metal bezel. The main housing is cylindrical and constructed of steel or cast iron. A screw-down clamping mechanism is located at the base of the bezel to secure the lens assembly. The side of the housing features a large circular aperture designed for mounting hardware and electrical leads. This light is an as-found relic and does not include internal components such as the bulb socket or wiring.
