AN AMERICAN PERCUSSION RIFLE WITH LOCK BY G. GOULCHER, CA. 1840-1870
An American percussion rifle from the middle of the 19th Century with a lock mechanism manufactured by George Goulcher of New York City, an important manufacturer of precision percussion locks during the period. Goulcher and his shop would produce firearm parts and ship them throughout the country for smaller firearms manufacturers that could not produce certain parts.
The bore of this gun is rifled and is 12.7 mm in diameter.

Dimensions: L: 34 3/4 in., (88 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall with a nicely patinated barrel. There is a small chip taken from the right side of the stock and some minor wear to the wood near the front end of the stock.
