A Two Gallon Pennsylvania Cobalt Blue Stencil Decorated Salt Glazed Stoneware Crock, J. E. Eneix, New Geneva, Circa 1875. The tapered cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim above large stencil decoration inscribed, "FROM / J. E. ENEIX / NEW GENEVA / PA", flanked by laurels, all above a "2". Having an Albany slip interior.
Dimensions: Height 10 1/2in; diameter of rim 9 1/2in; diameter of foot 7 1/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Buck County, Pennsylvania Private Collection.
Condition:
Typical marks and wear commensurate with age and use. Discoloration from the kiln overall. Imperfections from manufacture throughout.
