Polemic: Pamphlet Kol MiZion, against the booklet “Kavod Yerushalayim” on the Warsaw Kollel. Jerusalem, 1930.
The pamphlet “Kol MiZion” by Rabbi Aryeh Mordechai Rabinowitz, the Rabbi of Kurów and first Rabbi of Bnei Brak. A response to the pamphlet “Kavod Yerushalayim” published a few months beforehand with claims against the Gur Chassidim and the Sfat Emet yeshiva, which, in the author’s eyes, had taken over the Warsaw Kollel.

Background: In 1930, a pamphlet was published in Jerusalem by Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Horwitz called “Kavod Yerushalayim”, which levelled extreme charges against the Gur chassidim and the Sfat Emet yeshiva. In response, this pamphlet was published with letters from rabbis across the Haredi spectrum, including Rabbi Yosef Chaim Zonenfeld and Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak HaKohen Kook, who forbade the reading of Kavod Yerushalayim and labelled it propaganda: “And be warned that it not be seen and not be found so that an abomination will not be brought into your houses…”.
