German Schnepper Hunting Stone Bow, 17th century
European, German, circa mid 17th century hunting stone or pellet bow with original string. Carved wood stock inset with multiple vertical bone inlays and a central plaque in bone with a engraved hare. Steel body in good and functioning condition with an attached lever loading mechanism. Foresight pillars for aiming. Size 26 1/2" L x 17 1/2" W
