Kalmyks: manuscript. 1920s 11p. 2 p.ill. 12.5x20
cm. Lined paper, ink. Signature of the author at the
end of the text. A fragment of the memories of the
times of the Civil War in the Kuban. Two illustrations
depicting Buddhist shrines destroyed by the
Bolsheviks are attached to the manuscript.
The memoirs contain interesting information about
the life of the Kalmyks before the arrival of the
Bolsheviks and about the tragic events during the
Civil War.
Bogaevsky Afrikan Petrovich (1872- 1934) - Russian
military leader, one of the commanders of the
Volunteer Army and leaders of the White movement
in southern Russia. Ataman of the Great Don
Army. Lieutenant-general.
