Roman Empire > Hadrian, 117-138 AD: AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.3g), struck circa 125-128 AD; laureate bust facing right with slight drapery on his left shoulder (somewhat slender neck) & legend HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS on either side (small CAPS) / Concordia seated facing left, holding patera and resting left elbow on statue of Spes on column + throne frame in background & legend COS III on either side. Reference: RIC II 172; RSC 328 var (Spes on column); GVF/EF, well struck with good details on metal with dark uncleaned toning, excellent portrait; coin alignment.
