A collection of prayers and pleas handwritten on parchment [Italy, circa the 17th century]. Square Italian script, most likely by several different writers.
The manuscript contains the following prayers:
A. The version of the blowing of the Shofar [the verses of Kra Satan and the plea "El Rachum Ve'Chanun" according to the custom of the Italian communities].
B. Viduy for Yom Kippur by Rabbi Bachya the Dayan [author of "Chovot Ha'Levavot"] (which was first printed in the Bologna Machzor, 1541, at the end of the prayers for Yom Kippur).
C. Prayers for Hoshana Rabba:
"Yotzer for Hoshanah Rabba", verses to recite "at the end of Ne'ila Selichot"; "Yotzer of Hashanah Rabba" (Otzar Ha'Shira Ve'Hapiyyut, 3, p. 504, no. 2065, there cited as a custom of Siene); Piyyut, "Beyom ze Yechayeinu" (does not appear in Otzar Ha'Shira Ve'Hapiyyut).
10 parchment leaves. [20] written pages. On the last page of the book appears a handwritten, Italian authorization of the censor.
Size of leaf: 15.5 cm.
Condition: Relatively Good. Time stains. Apparently, on some of the leaves where the script has faded, it was later reinforced by writing over the letters with ink. New parchment binding.
