Alma -
Alma Auctioneers presents an auction bringing together Asian and Islamic art from collections shaped by study, travel, and a lifelong appreciation of craftsmanship.
At its heart is the important estate of Joseph Wallersteiner, an avid collector of Islamic manuscripts whose family of metal artisans emigrated from Germany to Israel in the 1930s. His collection reflects a deep interest in the written heritage of the Islamic world.
Alongside this estate is a meticulously assembled private collection of Asian art, gathered over decades of travel throughout the East and reflecting its collector’s discerning eye.
Together, these collections invite collectors to explore the craftsmanship, cultural memory, and personal histories preserved in objects across generations.
