בית המכירות "נקדימון" שמח להציג בפני הקהל שוחר הספר התורני, מכירה מיוחדת הכוללת בתוכה אוצרות היסטוריים, ארכיונים שנפתחים לראשונה, מכתבים וגנזי קודש.

מכירה זו מורכבת ברובה משני אוספים מרכזיים. האוסף הראשון הוא של החוקר התורני הנודע הרב דוד קמינצקי זצ"ל (ראה אודותיו להלן), הכולל בתוכו אוצרות תורניים רבים, גנוזות מהגר"א ותלמידיו ועוד ספרים רבים יקרי ערך. גולת הכותרת במכירה זו מאוסף זה היא עותק נדיר מאוד של מסכת עירובין במהדורתה הראשונה כפי שנדפסה על ידי המדפיס הנודע גרשום שונצינו. עותקים מש"ס זה נדירים ביותר, ולא הופיעו בבתי מכירות עשרות שנים. כמו כן מועמדים למכירה: עותק נדיר של ארבעת חלקי השלחן ערוך שנדפסו בחיי המחבר בשנת שכ"ז בצורתם הראשונה ללא הגהות הרמ"א, כתב יד קדום של ספר "דרך עץ חיים", ועוד עשרות רבות של ספרים חשובים ונדירים.

האוסף השני הוא ארכיון היסטורי שנפתח כאן לראשונה, המגולל פרשיה מרתקת של הכתרת הרה"ק רבי משה מרדכי בידרמן זצ"ל לרבם של חלק מחסידי קרלין. הארכיון כולל את כתב ההכתרה בחתימת החסידים, עשרות מכתבים מגדולי ישראל בנוגע לפולמוס זה, פסקי הלכה מרבי משה פינשטיין, וכן את הארכיון עצמו הכולל אלפי מסמכים מקוריים המגוללים את כל הפרשה מכל זוויותיה. גולת הכותרת של ארכיון זה היא ללא ספק מכתב תקנות היסטורי שנכתב על ידי הרה"ק רבי אברהם אלימלך מקרלין זצ"ל הי"ד עבור בית הכנסת קרלין, מספר ימים טרם עזיבתו בדרכו האחרונה את ארץ ישראל - כולל הוספות מרטיטות בכתב ידו.

במכירה זו נציב נר זיכרון לכבודו של החוקר התורני המפורסם הרב דוד קמינצקי זצ"ל (נפטר בתשפ"ה).

הרב דוד קמינצקי היה חוקר תורני מוערך ומומחה לתורת הגר"א מווילנא, ומחבר ספרים. שימש כר"מ בישיבת "דרכי נועם", עסק בהדרת תורת הגר"א, והיה מעורכי קבצי "ישורון", "תבונות" וש"ס שוטנשטיין. כמו כן הקים את מכון 'פרקי אליעזר'. נודע באצילותו, בטוב ליבו ובידענותו המחקרית, והותיר אחריו משפחה ענפה. רבי דוד זצ"ל היה אוהב ספרים במלוא מובן המילה. כך תוארה ספרייתו בעיתון 'יתד נאמן' (תשנ"ח, פרשת שמות) על ידי רבי יעקב רוזנס, ראש מכון מקורות: "לאיש יש בביתו שלו חמשה עשר אלף ספרים. כל מדף ספרים אצלו מכיל שלוש שורות לכל הפחות". רבי דוד לא השתמש בספריו כדי למלא ארונות וספריות בלבד, אלא השתמש בהם לצורך לימודו ולמחקריו התורניים הרבים. כמו כן נהג טובת עין במחברי ספרים רבים, והמציא בפניהם כתבי יד עתיקים, ספרים שאינם בנמצא, ופתח בפניהם את אוצרותיו.

The Nakdimon Auction House is pleased to present to the seforim-loving public a unique sale featuring historical treasures, newly revealed archives, letters, and rare seforim.

This sale is mainly composed of two central collections. The first is the collection of the renowned Torah scholar HaRav Dovid Kamenetsky zt"l (see his biography below), containing manuscripts from the Gra and his talmidim and many more valuable seforim. The crown jewel of this collection is an exceedingly rare copy of the first printed edition of Maseches Eruvin, published by the well-known printer Gershom Soncino. Copies of this Shas are extremely rare and have not appeared at auction houses in decades. Also for sale: a rare copy of all four chalakim of the Shulchan Aruch printed in 1567 during the lifetime of the Mechaber (this edition precedes the addition of the hagahos of the Rama); an early manuscript of the sefer Derech Etz Chaim; and dozens of other important and rare seforim.

The second collection is a historical archive presented here for the first time. It reveals the fascinating and controversial story of the Hachtarah of HaRav HaKadosh Reb Moshe Mordechai Biderman zt"l as Rebbe of a segment of the Karlin Chassidus. The archive includes the letter of Hachtarah bearing the signatures of the Chassidim, dozens of letters from Gedolei Yisrael regarding the controversy, piskei halacha from HaRav Moshe Feinstein, in addition to the archive itself containing thousands of original documents chronicling the entire episode from every angle. The crown jewel of this archive is unquestionably a historic Takanos document for the Karlin Beis HaKnesses, written by HaRav HaKadosh Reb Avraham Elimelech M'Karlin zt"l Hy"d a few days before his final departure from Eretz Yisrael — including fascinating additions in his own handwriting.

Through this sale we wish to perpetuate the legacy of HaRav Dovid Kamenetsky zt"l (niftar in 5785), a renowned researcher and Torah scholar.

HaRav Dovid Kamenetsky was a highly regarded Torah researcher, known for his expertise in the Torah of the Gra and as an author of numerous seforim. He served as a Rebbi in Yeshivas Darchei Noam, worked on the editing and publication of the Torah of the Gra, founded Machon Pirkei Eliezer, and was among the editors of the ArtScroll Schottenstein Edition of Talmud Bavli and of the periodical journals Yeshurun and Tevunos. He was known for his nobility of character, his magnanimous spirit, and his scholarly erudition. He left behind a large family.

Reb Dovid zt"l was a true ohev seforim. His library was described in Yated Ne'eman by Reb Yaakov Rosanes, Rosh Machon Mekorot: "The man has fifteen thousand seforim in his home. Every bookshelf holds at least three rows." Reb Dovid's seforim were no mere collection; they were put to good use for his learning and Torah research. He shared his treasures with other authors and researchers as well, providing them with access to his rare manuscripts and seforim.

We are honored to present the first installment of the endless treasures he collected and lovingly cultivated over many years, and through which he carried out his valuable work.
